Role

Protsahan India Foundation is looking for an Executive - Accounts to keep the organisation's financial systems accurate, organised, and compliant. You will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, support audits, maintain records across grassroots program centers, and help the finance team run smoothly so the mission stays on track.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day tasks such as Tally data entry, documentation, and scheduling
  • Track expenses, process invoices, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Maintain financial documentation for program activities across grassroots centers
  • Support day-to-day finance operations and resolve basic accounting or compliance queries
  • Assist during audits and ensure all documents are ready and accurate
  • Learn and adapt to the organisation's finance systems while meeting deadlines consistently

Requirements

  • Graduate in Commerce with a good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the nonprofit sector
  • Strong working knowledge of Tally, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
  • Able to maintain accurate records, track expenses, and support audit processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage timelines and documentation independently
  • Experience with donor audits and financial compliance such as FCRA and TDS is a plus
  • Familiarity with budgeting and fund utilisation tracking is an advantage
  • Ability to explain financial data in simple terms to program teams is a bonus
  • Prior experience with community-based or grassroots organisations is welcome
