Role

The Manager, Brand Communications will shape how Educate Girls is seen and understood by the world. This is not a maintenance role. You will define, build, and lead the brand across village communities, national governments, global donors, and international media, bringing together 18 years of ground-level work and the ambition of the next decade into one clear, consistent, and powerful identity.

Responsibilities

  • Define how Educate Girls looks, sounds, and presents itself across all audiences, formats, and platforms
  • Build and manage a clear brand architecture across the parent brand, program brands, and partner entities so each one strengthens the whole
  • Raise the quality of all creative output including reports, films, donor materials, campaigns, and public-facing content
  • Shape partnerships, events, and public platforms that increase brand recall and expand reach nationally and globally
  • Ensure brand consistency across field offices, state teams, digital platforms, and major events
  • Brief designers, direct films, edit reports, and make confident creative decisions to maintain high standards
  • Work closely with the Lead Communications and Senior Leadership with direct visibility into work that matters
  • Move between strategy and hands-on execution without losing quality at either end

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in brand management, communications, creative strategy, or closely related work from a non-profit, company, agency, startup, media house, or consumer brand
  • Proven track record of shaping brand identity across channels, audiences, and formats, not just managing brand guidelines
  • Strong visual and editorial judgment, able to brief designers, direct films, and edit written content with equal confidence
  • Excellent written and spoken English; working knowledge of Hindi is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable making decisions, holding quality standards, and pushing back when the bar is not being met
  • Genuine interest in girls education and the work Educate Girls does
