Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI)

The Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. It works to improve vocational education and create National Occupational Standards for agriculture and allied sectors. ASCI is the apex body for skill development in agriculture and is recognized as an Awarding Body by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET). Over the last 13 years, ASCI has trained and certified around 1.6 million people across India, including farmers, wage workers, entrepreneurs, and extension workers.

Role

Support monitoring, coordination, and reporting for training and assessment activities under various government, CSR, and fee-based skill development projects run by ASCI. The role focuses on ensuring quality, compliance, and smooth field operations across training centres.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor training programs across locations to ensure quality standards and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with assessment agencies, training partners, trainers, and candidates for smooth assessments and certifications.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain training data, attendance records, photos, and reports.
  • Update MIS portals, dashboards, trackers, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with training centres, NGOs, partners, and field teams to resolve issues.
  • Make sure all centres and programs follow ASCI guidelines and documentation rules.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor centres, classrooms, mobilization, and assessment work.
  • Support preparation of presentations, case studies, meeting minutes, and official communications.
  • Assist in coordination with government departments, assessment bodies, and project stakeholders.
  • Take on other tasks assigned by the organization as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate or Post Graduate in Agriculture, Rural Management, Agribusiness, Development Studies, Management, or Social Work from the agriculture and allied sector.
  • Freshers to 2 years of experience in training coordination, project monitoring, MIS, field operations, or skill development projects.
  • Working proficiency in English and Hindi with good communication and coordination skills.
  • Basic understanding of the skill development ecosystem and vocational training.
  • Good command of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and reporting tools.
  • Process-oriented with strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to travel for field monitoring, centre visits, and assessments.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
