Role

A Clinical Psychologist for neuro-rehabilitation evaluates and treats cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes in patients with brain injuries or nervous system disorders. Key responsibilities include conducting neurophysiological tests, providing individual psychotherapy, and collaborating with medical teams as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setup.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cognitive, emotional, and behavioral evaluations for patients with conditions like stroke or traumatic brain injury
• Deliver evidence-based therapy, such as cognitive rehabilitation or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to help patients adjust and recover
• Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and medical staff in a multidisciplinary team
• Offer guidance, psychoeducation, and counseling to families and caregivers coping with a loved one's neurological illness

Requirements

• MSc in Clinical Psychology with specialized training/fellowship in Neuropsychology
• Doctorate or M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (depending on regional standards like RCI in India)
• Valid professional license/registration to practice clinical psychology/neuropsychology
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Clinical training or prior work focused on neuropsychology, brain injury, or physical rehabilitation settings
