Breakthrough works to change the social norms that hold women and girls back from reaching their full potential. It works with adolescents and young people aged 11 to 25 in schools and communities, helping them build aspiration, agency, leadership and the confidence to speak up, and it uses media to shape public conversations. Over time it has reached more than 5.4 million young people. Because of this work, girls are staying in school, delaying marriage and choosing their own paths, while boys are stepping up to support equal rights for all. This role sits within Breakthrough's Individual Fundraising (IFR) programme, which raises support from individual donors to keep this work going.

Role

As Consultant for HNI Acquisition, you will help Breakthrough grow its base of high-value individual donors, also called high net worth individuals (HNIs). You will find and research new prospects, reach out to them, and help turn them into donors while laying the groundwork for relationships that last. You will work closely with the Senior Manager for Individual Fundraising and add directly to the support that keeps Breakthrough's programmes running.

Responsibilities

• Research and prospect high-value potential donors across digital platforms, professional networks, and referrals.
• Execute outreach via cold calls, LinkedIn, and emails to secure meetings, present Breakthrough's mission, and convert leads.
• Build and maintain a donor pipeline in MS Excel to achieve monthly and quarterly fundraising targets.
• Partner with internal communications and programme teams to develop tailored proposal and presentation materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 4 years of experience in sales, business development, fundraising, or client acquisition.
• Proven ability to perform cold outreach, pitch confidently, and leverage existing networks for lead generation.
• Proficient in MS Excel with strong self-motivation to hit growth targets.
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Delhi, available full-time for a contract running through March 31, 2027.
