The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. THF works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and underserved groups, with additional focus on children, persons with disabilities, and women, alongside holistic Education and Livelihood development. Its two-fold strategy involves working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index regions in North, North-East, and East India, as well as urban programs catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities. Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 59 million beneficiaries through direct implementation and by supporting not-for-profit organisations funded through THF USA and RIST.

Role
The Field Coordinator – Balwadi Program will be responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, monitoring, and quality implementation of all 33 Balwadi centres across Delhi, covering 43 Balwadi sessions in morning and evening shifts. The role focuses on strengthening Early Childhood Education, community engagement, operational efficiency, digital learning initiatives, and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth functioning of all Balwadi centres and ensure adherence to program objectives
- Monitor implementation of the Balwadi curriculum and ensure quality teaching-learning practices
- Conduct regular field visits and classroom observations, ensuring child-centric, activity-based learning
- Supervise Senior Tutors, Tutors, and support staff, conducting review meetings and training programs
- Ensure timely collection and verification of attendance, enrolment, and learning assessment data
- Monitor KPIs and prepare analytical reports; submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Build relationships with parents, community leaders, and local stakeholders; conduct parent meetings and enrolment drives
- Ensure availability and proper utilization of teaching-learning materials and resources across centres
- Monitor fee collection and reconciliation processes, and support budgeting and procurement activities
- Conduct monthly performance reviews of Senior Tutors and Tutors, and recommend corrective actions
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline mandatory; B.Ed., NTT, ECCE, Social Work, or equivalent preferred
- Training in Early Childhood Education an added advantage
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in education, preschool management, community development, or NGO sector programs
- Experience managing multiple centres, field teams, or education projects preferred
- Prior experience in Balwadi, Anganwadi, Preschool, or ECCE programs an advantage
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
- Good understanding of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital reporting tools
- Willingness to travel extensively across all Balwadi centres in Delhi
