Role
You will lead the day-to-day coordination of the Coastal Education Enhancement Mission (CEEM) a program that runs learning hubs, trains mentors, and works closely with families and communities across Kozhikode's coastal areas to improve education outcomes for children.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor all CEEM project activities including timelines, schedules, budgets, procurement, and asset management to ensure smooth and timely delivery
- Support and guide teachers, mentors, facilitators, and learning hub coordinators through regular visits, team meetings, and capacity-building sessions
- Develop and regularly update the CEEM curriculum with educators, designing activities that build critical thinking, creativity, and practical skills in students
- Expand learning hubs by managing site selection, community engagement, and resource planning for new locations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, community leaders, government officials, NGOs, and other partners and actively look for new funding and partnership opportunities
- Track project risks, collect data, monitor outcomes, and put solutions in place to keep the project on track and improving
- Prepare clear progress reports and present updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis
- Make sure all activities follow iLAB policies, local regulations, and stay aligned with community needs
- Attend workshops, sector events, and planning sessions to stay current on education trends and bring fresh ideas back to the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Education, Development Studies, or a related field
- 2 or more years of experience in project coordination, education programs, or community work experience with coastal, rural, or underserved communities is a strong plus
- Able to lead a team, guide volunteers, and coordinate across students, families, educators, and external partners
- Good written and spoken communication in Malayalam and English; comfortable with documentation, reporting, and basic data tracking
- Able to plan, prioritise, and work independently without close supervision
- Genuinely committed to education equity and social impact
