Role

The TAU Academic Specialist will help design and strengthen the academic systems behind Project Pragati, a program that partners with state governments to help out-of-school girls and young women aged 14 to 29 complete their Grade 10 education. You will create learning materials, support government teams, and make sure the program works well on the ground across multiple states.

Responsibilities

  • Create simple, clear process documents and step-by-step guides to help teams manage learner registration, exam preparation, and progress tracking
  • Produce content in multiple formats such as print materials, presentation decks, and digital tools like WhatsApp-based learning and app-based quizzes, working with design and technology partners
  • Research best practices in open schooling, review policy documents like NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023, and use findings to improve academic resources and program design
  • Prepare research briefs, concept notes, and background papers to support planning and engagement with state governments
  • Support the Academic Lead in coordinating with State Education Departments, managing timelines, and keeping academic, field, and design teams aligned
  • Use monitoring data and field feedback to regularly review what is working and make practical improvements to learning resources

Requirements

  • Post-graduation in Education (M.Ed.) or a PhD in a related field
  • Good understanding of NEP 2020, NCF-SE 2023, and how public education systems work in India
  • Experience in curriculum design, content development, or education system reform, with prior exposure to State Education Departments or large-scale education programs being a strong plus

  • Comfortable working with data, monitoring dashboards, and using insights to improve programs
